  18. Prepare 2 tbs parboiled lentils
  19. Prepare 3 potatoes parboiled
  20. Use Curry leaves, chopped coriander, chillies

Add cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon sticks and sliced onion. Lightly brown the onion then add chicken pieces and brown. Strain with cold water and put one side. In a large pot, heat the oil and add the onions, and whole spices.

  1. In a pot add the oil and butter then add the whole spices (cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves) allow to sizzle
  2. Add the onions and braise until a nice brownish colour
  3. Add the ginger&garlic, all spices (turmeric and jeera) and cook few seconds then add the tomato cook for like 5 minutes
  4. Add the buttermilk and yogurt cook for 15 minutes until the onions start to cook away on a medium heat not high
