Ingredients and seasonings used for prepare
  1. Use 1.5 lb hamburger meat
  2. Prepare 2 cans kidney beans (I use 1 light, 1 dark) (drained and rinsed)

Add the rest and seal it up. Stir in the garlic, followed by the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, beans, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper. Pour in tomatoes, beans and tomato sauce. After browning the beef and onions in plenty of oil in your squeaky-clean liner, add a splash of stock and stir to release any browned bits that may have collected on the bottom.

Instructions to cook Instant Pot Chili:
  1. Set instant pot to saute add a few tbsp of olive oil and brown meat, add onions and bell peppers if desired. Cook until onions soften a bit. Drain if desired, I do not drain.
  2. Empty cans of beans, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes on top (do not drain cans before adding).. Add chili seasoning, cumin and Worcestershire sauce and stir everything together.
  3. Set it to manual, pressure, high for 10 minutes. Do a natural release for 5 minutes followed by a quick release of steam.
  4. Done! Serve by itself or my family likes it with cheese and sour cream on top.
  5. Done and ready to serve!

These add delicious flavor to the chili, but could trigger your Instant Pot's burn sensors if they aren't scraped and stirred into the soup. Add the garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, pepper and beans to the pot. Turn the Instant Pot to the Chili/Beans setting and place the lid on the pot. Release the pressure either manually or allow it to release naturally. Place the lid on the instant pot and set to "chili" mode ("manual" can be used too).
