  1. Prepare 6 peeled and diced russet potatoes
  2. Prepare 1 diced onion

  6. Take 1 tbsp seasoning salt
  7. Take 3 tbsp flour

  9. Take 3 cup milk
  10. Prepare 1 can cream of mushroom
  11. Use 1 can cream of celery
  12. Prepare 2 chicken boulion cubes

Stir in the flour and pepper until smooth; gradually add milk and reserved cooking liquid. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, melt butter. Gradually add the milk, salt, and pepper. Stir the mixture into the potatoes and chicken broth.

Step by step to make Ham and cheese potato soup:
  1. Salt and boil potatoes for about 10 minutes
  2. Sautee the onion and crisp the ham
  3. Drain potatoes reserving about 2 cups of the cooking water(I usually add 2 chicken boulion cubes for extra flavor)
  4. In the stockpot combine butter and flour to make a rue.
  5. Add milk water and seasonings and bring to boil stirring constantly then reduce to simmer
  6. Add in ham n onions the cheese and the cream of celery and mushrooms and mix well
  7. Add the cooked potatoes back and season to taste. Let simmer about 30-40 minutes and ENJOY
  8. Done and ready to serve!

Add carrots, celery and onion to the pot. Stir and cook until onion is translucent. Immediately add the flour followed by broth and milk. Stir and bring to a boil. Put the potatoes and ham in a large pot.
